ERIK LENZ
Doctor of Chiropractic
Honours Bachelor of Motor Neuroscience
Special Interest in Mobility & Athletic Performance
As a young hockey and CrossFit athlete, Dr. Erik Lenz’ interest in chiropractic medicine was sparked when he became a patient due to sports related injuries. He found his rehabilitation and athletic performance to be positively affected by treatments, and since then has sought out to create the same positive experience in every one of his patients.
As a way to join his passion for sports, mobility and neuroscience, Dr. Erik completed a Bachelor of Science with Honours, in Motor Neuroscience at Brock University. During this time,he volunteered with a spinal cord injury and multiple sclerosis rehabilitation gym in Niagara and simultaneously began coaching as a CrossFit trainer. He saw how chiropractic therapy positively influenced a large number of the people with whom he was engaging. His thinking about movement patterns, rehabilitation, and athletic progression lead him to complete his Doctor of Chiropractic Therapy at D’Youville College in Buffalo New York. His experience in the US allowed him to treat patients as part of the University of Buffalo Neurosurgery clinic, Erie County Medical Centre and Karl Hageman Chiropractic teams.
Dr. Erik’s favourite part of the job is the ability to combine care & education. As such, it’s always his goal that a patient leaves the clinic understanding their condition and what is needed to resolve it. His core philosophy, inspired by Dr. Stuart McGill, is that motion is the medicine we all need, and that as a stepping stone, Chiropractic allows pain release while introducing this attitude.
Regardless of current physical capacity Dr. Lenz is interested in working with people to promote quality of life for health sustainability. He is intent on helping athletic growth, improvingproductive potential, mobility and enabling people to retain independence at any stage of life.
